Yea I hope so too. I don't think pics would help because there is oil everywhere. I'm sure it's not the filter. Thanks for all of the suggestions. I really thought it may have been blow by because the way it was pouring oil onto the exhaust and smoking while accelerating or going uphill.
Thanks for the help. I know it's not the filter though. I change my own oil, and always look/feel to make sure that the old gasket comes off with the old filter. It has leaked since I bought it (10k miles ago), and goes through about a quart and a half per oil change unless I take a long trip in it or put a load on it. That's when it really leaks bad and starts pouring out onto the exhaust and smoking.
you know what I would do is buy a can of seafoam. Get a buddy to watch and when you rev the engine smoke should be coming out of where hole is. what do the rest of you think about that?
Have you checked your pcv valve? Although, if it is blowby from a stuck pcv valve making that much oil your air filter would be soaked.
