I was driving on I-20 and my eyes were burnning from the exhaust fumes. my muffler is not on could it just be because of that or an exhaust leak from the engine?

you have no muffler? does your exhaust vent out from the truck or is it constantly trapped under the truck?

maybe its trapped under. the exit is right under the backseat of passenger side.

I used to have a muffler with a turndown and it exited after the cab below the bed and my Eyes didnt burn.

they are getting trapped under the body in every way they can. you ever poured a drink out going 75? does it go straight down? no. the wind is keeping the fumes trapped under the body of your truck hence they are coming in through every possible opening
