Pity7700, you're right. I bought another set a few years back from superbrightleds.com, and a few differing sizes for my old Infiniti, which I sold 2 years ago. So, the mix and match set, according to its new owner, are still working. So, I hope that means that the cheap Chinese "copies" on eBay have improved in quality and brightness over the years. I only had ONE issue with Chinese festoon LED in that Infiniti, which only lasted a month. And once you've taken the dash apart to get to the cluster, you'll be an expert!
haha yea i read some complaints about the cheap chinese made crap. i just hope what i bought lasts...and that its bright enough haha
I bought 4 212 bulbs for my interior lights and 2 of them no longer work. I spent like 6 bux of the 4 of them and had em about a year.
That's longer than some other electronics lasts! Or even household light bulbs! The importers probably think you got your money's worth! BTW, Roll Tide!
Im not complaining at all for the money I spent. My main interior light came from v-leds and its 96 leds...hahahaha BRIGHT!
96? Yikes! That fit in a standard overhead map light assembly? Overhead bulb is like those vintage stereo receiver panel bulb (they were called fuse bulbs, 8 volts). I looked in a pull-a-part for another assembly to experiment with something like an array of 24, but you've blazed that trail already!
