I never trusted these things.... But it worked!

    You know those things you pour in your engine, and it magically fixes it? Yeah.... I never in my life would have thought one of them works, but I found one.

    About a month ago my 97 one fity started leaking coolant and found out it was a crack in my passenger side head:Grenade: I was telling a good friend of mine down in California about it, who is a mechanic, and he told me to try this stuff called Blue Devil. He said he saw it work wonders on a S-10 blazer that had a REALLY bad blown head gasket. The people have put 80k miles on it since and hadn't leaked a single drop of coolant.

    Well I tried it, it was about $100 after all was said and done, and took nearly all day, but it friggen worked! I've been driving it for about two weeks now, and not a sign of leakage. I gota say.... If you ever have a cracked head or a blown head gasket, give this stuff a shot. It saved me the cost of a new head, and a weekend of unwanted wrenching.

    Why'd it take all day?
    Why'd it cost 100 bux?
    Do you just pour it in or is there something else you have to do?

    Yeah, it's time consuming. You have to flush all the coolant out of your radiator and motor (completely) refill it with water, start your engine, pour the solution in slowly, let it idle for 50 mins. After that you have to let it cool all the way down to ambient temp. Take it for a drive, let it cool back down, drain all the water out and replace it with coolant, then replace your thermostat and call it good. It took three times of heating and cooling for my leak to stop completely.

    I paid $50 for the bottle, $40 for new coolant, and $12 for a new thermostat. It was well worth every penny, and the time it took.

    Some pour in stuff works! I used Z-Max in the past and it does what it says.

    Does it really? Good to know. I figured all the gas saver+HP pour in's were a scam.

    I used Z-Max on a Mazda B2500 I use to own and it actually improved my gas mileage a couple of miles. It seemed to have a little difference in power, but nothing crazy. It's some slick ass stuff and it's hard to get off your hands.

    hmmm...i might just try it out one of these days.

    And those mazda pickups are sweet. my roomate drives a 94 b4000. those things are freakin tanks
