ill check that out. i got the right ones on the way now. ill find a use for these 194s. they were $.79/piece so its not like i wasted a bunch of money. The 37s i just bought are a 120 degree light. these 90s are pretty birght though. well find out tonight just how bright they are.
The 120s SHOULD give you enough fill in to the upper part of the cluster. If not, you have the 90s. And less than a buck a piece is a GREAT deal!
Well, gee, that breaks the bank, doesn't it? When I did my old car, a bargain was $3 or so a piece. They're better, brighter and higher quality now, for 1/3 the price. Good Find!
got the new ones installed and ****. they aint bright enough. you can see it just barely shining through the gauge cluster but its not enough to be able to read everything. i guess i need a much brighter bulb than what i got.
Those look like single SMD elements, and have little "side throw". That would explain why the panel appears dim. Try to get ones that have multiple SMD elements, and have them in a circular pattern. The ones I posted fit well, and give off enough side light to fill the panel.
this what youre talking about? http://www.superbrightleds.com/vehicle/2002/ford/f150/20/507 the 74-xhp3
Actually, you'll have better results with the WLED-xHP15-TAC. Yea, they're more money, but the slightly longer ones gets deeper into the cluster assembly, and would line up better with the 'indirect" plastic. And, I think at 1 watt, the assembly should be brighter than my eBay specials from China.
