    Got off the phone with the dealer today and they quoted about $550 out the door. That's parts and labor. And even the towing company said they would do it for $500 if the dealership won't. The towing company is also a auto shop. We will see.

    That's cheap, my dealership charges $900.

    Even at $500 you could put $300 back in your pocket by doing it yourselves. :hmm:

    you can get a new pump from rock auto for about 70 bux.

    Yup, even replacing the entire pump/ sending unit is only $200. I personally would have to find a place to do it myself.
