I have an 01 SD Diesel and the shifting mechanism has become loose and is difficult to shift into park. How can I adjust this? Is it in the column or an adjustment at the auto tranny?
    Thank you beforehand.
    Chris.

If it's like the F150, there's a bolt that comes loose over time. I think a couple of guys here have tightened theirs and it fixed the problem. It's a fairly easy fix.

Hang tight for an answer, everyone will be as the day goes on.

Welcome to the site also.

Everything in the column is tight, so the condition is further down the line, any ideas?
