I'm new to the forum. Hope somone can help. The adjusting mechanism for my outside mirrors have quit working. I don't know where to start trying to repair lthem. The fuses seem to be okay. The left mirror quit first and the left followed in about 7 months. Where might I look next? Any help will be appreciate.

Possibly the switch to begin with. It's easy to pop the out.

Yep, the switch going bad is common on the SD forum I'm on, it's the same switch as the 97 to 03 f150. I just replaced mine.

On the real, this is EXACTLY what you need to do first. I had my passenger side window switch start acting up and thought I needed to replace it. I ordered one and it ended up getting back-ordered, luckily. Ended up deciding to see if I could possibly repair it and it ended up being the contacts had corroded. Cleaned em up, and it works like a new one. :peace:
