I'm Getting tired of this p.o.s. truck. I have a horrible death wobble that get s real bad from 55-70 mph. The steering wheel goes crazy and vibrates like a bad outa hell. What could it be? Unbalanced tires? Worn out suspension components? The tie rods are fine what else should I check?

When were the tires balanced last?
I put new tires on and had a shimmy real bad at 65+, like shaking the steering wheel 1" or more each way. Got the tires balanced and she's smooth as silk.

Could be a number of things. First, rotate tires to rule those out. While its jacked up, grab top and bottom of wheel to see if wheel bearings have play. Next, check idler and pitman arm. Those things are usually the cause

I would start with tires. And wheel bearings next. Already had to put a set on mine round 90,000 miles

In my own imaginary world, where. Respect for wome
tires are out of balance. Don't rotate. Take them to get balanced and say it's bad at highway speed. It's a common problem for big tires to miss the dynamic balance. I rebalance after 50@ each rotate & balance.

Had the same thing happen, but I don't think it would be the same(not sure what kind of suspension you have). I broke a front spring, the shaking started at about 45 and went away at 60. Anything below that, smooth as glass. It was broken at the very last loop, so just looking, you couldn't see it, it wasn't until they put it on the lift that they saw the crack
