I am still learning about engines but know the basics, but my check engine light has been on for a while now and I replaced all the plugs and 5 of the coil packs because the owner before me said he replaced the other 3 not too long ago. I have checked the compression and they are all fine. The one thing I haven't checked are the fuel injectors, but it does have a little bit of a rough idle. I will try to get the actual codes themselves tomorrow. Anyone else have this problem? Or even heard of it?

I also had to replace my idler air control valve just last week because one of the valves was cracked letting more air in, it helped with the howling sound coming from the engine but the engine is still throwing the same code...

Usually a lean code is a fuel issue. I had a p0171 code. I ended up putting a new filter and fuel pump in my truck.

Ya I'll check the codes tomorrow but it's just wierd how one is lean and the other rich. It's got 120,000 miles so I guess I wouldn't be too surprised if things start failing.
