Yeah, just found out the "witness" was a passenger in the car, so they're not taking it very seriously. Just have to wait for the police report to come out now, should be Friday or Monday. Don't really see a way to work around the insurance, I'll be satisfied with the new door and work done without needing to pocket anything.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it'll work out in my favor. If I would have hit her somewhere, then I could see it maybe being blamed on me, but the fact that she hit my drivers door and that it was her second accident of the day kinda points the finger the other way. Also, if I had sped up to "prevent her from merging" I can guarantee my 6000lb truck would have taken a lot farther to stop than the 4 ft that it did...
