I'm just curious because I saw this chevy 2500 supercrew that they put a step side bed on. I figure since our gen supercrew and the step side trucks are both flare sides and the beds are the same length, would it be possible to put a step side bed on a supercrew? like would it all bolt up? I don't plan on doing this but I think it would be pretty cool and definitely be unique

here's that chevy I was talking about

i think the body line behind the cab is different, so bolt up wouldn't work, but with some custom fab it would be cool!

No. Our gen Steps are 6.5 ft. Screws are 5.5ft. You would have to extend the frame, longer driveshaft, probably a few others things too. But other then that it should all look like it belongs

instead of lengthening the truck, you could shorten the bed?

no room in a step side anyways... oh well... I wish my truck had a 6.5' bed.. this damn 5.5' is way too small, my toolbox and with the rod holders sticking out another 6" takes up like 1/3-1/2 of the bed

Get the :superhack: out and make it happen. Or find a donor truck, cut the rear half of the frame, and match it up to yours.
