A new truck is only new for a short period of time. After that it's just another used truck. There's no reason you can't keep your current truck for a long time

Good point and always something I've had in the back of my mind...hence the reason I've always bought used in the past.

I dunno though, there's something nice about knowing you've had the truck since new and that no one else has hammered on it. I bought this 04 with 50k miles on it and at 105,000 miles it **** the tranny. I have a feeling the owner(s) before me never did the proper maintenance. It gets babied (maintenance wise) now though. With how low you can get APRs at now days it kinda takes the sting away from buying new for me...especially if you can pick up a year end clearance truck at 0% financing...Stupid interest eats you alive new or used. Plus it would be nice to have a payed off truck that has 60k miles on it instead of not getting it payed off until it has 100+K miles on it.

I dunno...Still something I'm on the fence with. It won't happen for another year or two anyways if it does. I wouldn't want to buy until the 2012s go on year end clearance at the earliest.
