Already done that , cause I thought well when I unplug one And it don't change it's bad but they all made it run worse ...... And red ive drove it for a week everyday
quit bein an angry fker and listen to people ............... if your still running stock shyt at 230 k dont be retarded and just replace one plug ......... plus a simple compression check would let you know quick ...... compression checker at zone for rent for like 30 bucks plug 1 is the simplest to get to ..... i mean hell it is a simple thing if you do the CORRECT steps....
you prob replace the wrong coil, do you even know what side cylinder 1 is on, you prob repaired one that wasnt messed up, normally when 1 plug is shot, they all will be soom after that, so replace all 8 plugs, and coils, 230k? its about time to do that anyway, and after, you replace everything, then reset it, and see
i kno wat dam cyls are where ............ i been swappin **** around again a few mins ago ...... ima see what the ford dealer comp says in the mornin then go from there ........ prob buy the 8 new coils on ebay and buy 8 new plugs
I would say check right where the connection meets the coil top. Right there, they are known to crack. So that would explain the intermittant miss. I had one on #4 doin that and that is what the issue was. When the plug and coil are out checkin spark it may be working, but once installed there could be just enough gap to cause a spark jump. Quick way to check it is to try to GENTLY wiggle the coil at the connection. If there is ANY play it is broke and you will need a new one. Another thing I would do is go to Oreilly's. They have Lifetime warranty coils in BWD. $40 each and its the last one you will buy. Also be prepared to replace them all shortly. When I had my first one pop, it seemed like I was replacing one every week thereafter until I replaced them all. I actually own 9 and carry one in the truck, and the 7mm socket to replace it on the road if I pop one. Then I can get back to the parts store and have it replaced. I agree on the compression test as well. Just a little security. It should bounce on crank up to about 150psi but anything over 120-130 is acceptable. Good luck brother. Oh and yeah, replace ALL the plugs while you are fuggin with it! LOL
