looks good either way but personally i'd toss the fog lights. Not a big fan of a mobile light display...unless its on a jeep
You got it....Looks only. A bull bar is basically only to hold lights and look cool. The metal is real thin and the way they mount you wouldn't want to rely on it for any real impact protection. At least with most that are on the market.
What do you mean by toss the fogs...take them completely out? That would look a little weird IMO. I use the fogs ALOT. I have high beam bulbs in them and I use them on remote two lanes to look out for deer. They throw light real wide and they work great for that. Or are you referring to the offroad lights as the fogs? Either way, why are they ok on a jeep and not an F150? I guarantee this truck gets used/abused offroad more than a lot of Jeeps do.
the two in the middle is the ones im talking about. and yeah i'd take em off but thats just me not being a fan of a ton of lights on the front of a truck. But if they keep you from hittin deer thats a plus
I personally saw a "accident" it involved a bullbar on a dodge "hitting" a concrete wall....the bullbar just bent into the bumper with a light tap, he accelerated and it just crushed..might as well consider them to be made of aluminum cars at that rate.
I gotcha. I use the stock fogs for looking out for deer. The offroad lights in the middle get used a lot though too. They aren't just for looks. I spend a lot of time out in the hills. Personally I think it looks good if you don't go overboard on the number of lights like some people do * see mr. 6 lights above* I personally like the looks of offroad lights on the front of a truck if done tastefully. Thats kinda why I like the look without the bull bar. It really simplifies the look of the front end as opposed to all that was going on before. And you never answered my question as to why its ok on a Jeep and not an F150...
a ton of lights look more at home on a jeep. Heres my old jeep with factory fogs and some 6" ones. that bumper had 4 tabs and i had 4 lights so i used em but i would not have put any more than that on it lol
