I sold my 1997 f150 that i put a lift in, i got a loan and got a crew cab 2001 f150 in dark blue.. well i just got a job full time 55 hours a week and it got me thinking what do i do? Should i pay off the loan on the 2001 and buy a powerstroke or do i buy a 6 inch lift kit for the crewcab? i found a 6 inch lift for a good price need help
well... 1. post lots of pics of said 2001 f150 2. is it 4x4 or 2wd 3. pay off the loan 4. slightly mod it first to get it where you want it (lift wheels n tires, lockers, etc..) 5. build the motor and get some forced induction of some sort in there 6. and now buy the SD.
4 wheel drive and so far i got a flowmaster 40 muffler and tinted windows i have a set of 33x12.50x18 but no rims for the tires i wanted to get 18 inch rims with tax returns i put a leveling kit in the other day it sat nose down bad..
well I have some 18x9in 01/02 Lightning wheels if your intrested. send me a PM and what you can do is get a 3in BL and with the t-bars cranked you can run 37s all day. for the 4x4s a leveling kit is trash. you can just crank the bars and its the same thing and its money in ur pocket.
i only paid 42.00 bucks for them and it rides a little differnt not much there is a body lift in my area craigslist for 140 bucks brand new i just dont like the look of the body lift then you gotta get gap gaurds and all that
yeah I was never a fan of body lifts, makes it look all seperated but plenty of people run em and dont have any problems. suspension lifts ALL THE WAY!!
i say go for the fabtech if u have the cash. Your leveling keys will work with the fabtech kit and thatll be 8 inches of lift up front and 6 out back and run 37s with the right offset wheels. plus a SD will be more expensive to maintain and insurance im sure. but thats my opinion.
pay off the loan first! and put any extra money you have at the end of the month towards the principle of the loan. that will get it paid off quicker and save you money.
