    I went to ace and none of the 7 guys that work there had ever heard of self-etching primer, so I just got regular spray on primer.

    let me ask you this: if paint didnt work last time, what is different about primer that makes you think it would work over the paint? same compound, different finishing agent.

    U don't need acetone to let u know. I used goof off for my emblems. It does damage the trucks paint btw

    And for the future chrome is super smooth you need a rough surface for paint to stick. Always use primer on bare metal.
