broke a leaf spring

Il be sure to check the shackles and ya iv seen pics of leafs sticking out of a bed, I'm glad that didn't happen to me lol that woulda sucked

It's just having that constant flex, sh*t wears out

 

Will springs off of a like 97 suburban fit? they measure 2.5 wide and are like an inch longer but they have 5 thick leaves, I found some for 50 apiece

 

I found out the chevy ones measure 30 30 and ford ones are 26 32, so I'm getting some off a 99 150, 75 apiece

Yeah my pass. side shackle snappped, sounded like someone smacked my truck with a baseball bat when it happened. Drove the spring up into the bottom of the bed. I have a little dimple in the floor of my bed thats hardly noticable though. I guess if I was hauling something at the time it might have been worse.

 

Yeah im going to do them myself, I took both old ones off and have the axle sitting on a block right now. This is my first time changing leaf springs tho


and 01screw, that sucks for sure, when i looked at mine i was just wtf

 

Yeah the sound of it smacking the bed scared the crap out of me, i remember saying (out loud) HOLY S**T, WTF was that ?? and i was by myself
