Diesels???

    OK guys I need some help. I'm thinking about buying a diesel this summer maybe trading in my truck. Right now I'd love a 5.9L but prefer fords so. The question is. What's the best motor I could get? I'm thinking the 7.3L, but are the 6.0s as bad as I'm thinking?

    I'd go 7.3, but if a deal comes up on a 6.0 I wouldn't shy away either. There's a few members here with 6.0's, they'll chime in with their opinions shortly. :birgits_tiredcoffee

    7.3 is the best. 6.0 needs new head studs If you put a chip on it then they are a good. 6.4 problems are there emission ****. Get a chip and turn that crap off and remove That crap Haven't heard anything bad about the 6.7 yet

    Ok. I prefer the look of like the 05 SD better too. But from what I've heard the 6.0s are junk....

    6.0 with headstuds and egr delete and you'll be good

    Well I know one thing about the 6.7 is bad. And that's the price tag...

    The head studs is what made them junk. Just swap them out for better ones.

    Haven't heard anything about the turbos being bad or having major issues.
