It was a pain in the ass... I looked it up online, and the only thing u could find was this one guy who said he used a hairdryer. I tried it and it works, once u use a socket wrench and unscrew the nuts, once u get those off the two pegs are held by some plastic tabs which are a total pain. I used a flat head screw driver and a hairdryer to pry the plastic tabs out, then I hammered the pegs out with a rubber mallet and I popped right off. Here's the emblem installed. Now here comes the big question, should I do the same thing with the tailgate emblem?
He means to take them off, and fill in the holes, making your fenders completely smooth. aka "shaved"
