How to remove your rear cats 1) i just got a 2.5inch pipe from fleet farm or a local auto shop 2) Cut pipe down to 16 inches i found to be a good number 3) Flare the ends of the pipe up to 2 1/2 I.D.(inside dim. so a 2.5inch pipe slides into it) this end will slide on over the pipe farthest away from the motor 4) Flare other side up to 2 5/8 I.D. to slide over the weld made at the factory 5) cut cats out (I used a sawsal) Cut on that tab where the cat casing is closed to the cat (repeat for all sides) 6) grind the tabs left on the pipe off 7) wire wheel or grind down pipe to remove rust to get a better sealing weld 8) fit pipes in and tack weld 9) weld the ends getting the top and sides by the frame rail as best as you can 10) start up check for any leaks put exhaust cement on any parts that leak Tools needed: sawsall blades for sawsall grinder Grinder with some kind of sanding pad wielder Would try and get a exhaust frailer exhaust cement I did it on my truck made it hella louder drove it around last night got no check engine codes I would suggest doing it on a lift of some sort
