I can't find a local mechanic that does seem like he is just guessing. And all the ford dealerships that I have brought it to say that it's the instrument cluster failing.

But what's the deal with the trans. I just feel that when the cluster goes back and there isn't anything failing and the the. The transmission doesn't shift it can't be the cluster causing the transmission issues. I feel it must be failing sensors or maybe and electrical issue some where in the mix.

So I am taking my truck to a new dealership to have them run a free diagnostics

Ok all who care or participated in this thread.

My truck was was taken to a third ford dealer where after telling them what I read on various forums that these lights indicated my transmission temp sensor had failed. They informed me that forums do not give proper information and that this was not the problem. However, they were incorrect. Thanx to all who helped me! This 30 dollar part has solved my issue and my truck is back on the road. I also learned that ford service in my area is astronomically pried at 112 per hour for service.

128 dollars in parts trans fluid etc. + 336 for labor (3 hours for what should have taken 30 - 45 min) = a fixed truck

I will in the future be doing my own labor. F that noise.

    Again thanx all.
