they get decent mileage if you treat them nice. i have a buddy with one and he averages 12-13. those v10's are beast, roll on it if ya want bro. plus its a screw and those are always nice with kids.

Dude, it's your 7K, not ours. If it's the truck for you then that's all that matters in the end.

I say for 7k its a steal considering 150s with 150k on em go for 10 round these parts. and the v10 is a workhorse, just as reliable as the 5.4 with just about the same mileage as the 5.4 without a tuner. If he throws a tuner on that thang he wont notice much difference between that and is 5.4

everyone hates on the v10, it just gets a bad rap cuz its in a truck that comes with the ever so popular 7.3 psd. I say for 7k its a good deal since a powerstroke would be double that for the mileage it has. and a psd only sees about 12mpgs stock anyway.

My dads 250 psd 4x4 on 285 70 17 stock is at 12-13 average mileage with about 300 lbs of tools, my 350 psd on 315 75 16s with all my mods and tunes sees just under 20 average with the same about of tools.
