Well i cut my cats off the other day just the rears well i couldnt weild the top because you cant get to it so now im going have to drop the down pipe and the exhaust out of the truck to weild it up and re in stall problem is i started outside of work and took the impact with a 15MM socket and buzzed off the one maifold but then used the same socket on the other and it stripped it out..
    Truck sounds like SH*T hardcore

either i weild this up or order up the long tubes with cats and put that on

hahah welding* i ran into the exact same problem you had. i really wana cut my rears out but i want to weld it solid all the way around and like you said you can't get to the top to weld. so i tried dropping the exhaust from the manifolds and ran into the same problem. i got 3 bolts off and the last bolt i stripped... im gonna get one of those special craftsmen sockets that can remove stripped bolts and try again. plus its a million times easier to weld with the exhaust off the truck

if u don't mind ruining a socket you could use one size smaller than actually fits the bolt and beat it on with a hammer.
