I'm thinking about doing my bed rails, steps, and rear bumper pad with bed liner or paint. Looking for suggestions of what would be best. Get them Rhino lined, do it myself with a roll on bed liner, plastic dip, or just spray paint them. Obviously rhino lining would cost the most, and with bed liner of any sort I'm worried about it being difficult to clean, but I'm worried the paint will just chip off like it does on my bumpers. Or maybe bed line the bumper pad and steps and paint the rails. Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk
i sprayed my bed down w/ some of that bed coating from auto zone. it hasnt chipped or anything. stuff slides right out from the bed still, unlike it would w/ a true bed liner. i've had mulch, dirt, wood, junk tossed in from cleaning the yard/garage. not a chip.
I'd go with a can of herculiner, works the best out of the stuff I've used. Do not use duplicolor roll on! That chips like mad. It's 30 bucks for a small can and that's probably more than enough, either roll it on or use a brush. Sent from my iThingy using Tapatalk
Just how "black" is the spray on or the herculiner? I know with the paint I'll have a nice black, that's relatively shiny. This is probably my biggest worry-having a faded look. Any chance any of you have pics? Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk
