ok guys yall are really gonna hate me for this lol but im gonna stick with SAS i just have been planing on doing a SAS for ever so most my plans are for an SAS i want it too make a big truck that if im not mudding in it than it can be a show truck i plan on doing onboard air train horns dixie horns a stereo the truck just is gonna way a ton and i want it to be a big truck... another reason is that as soon as i get my hands on a tube bender im going to build a buggy so that will be my sand toy... sorry jerritt for explaining all this stuff and than me just changing my mind. and you should take all that information and put it in a sticky some were to help others who want to do this stuff on another note some time this week im going to the salvage yard and will get my second rear seat to turn it into a bucket seats in the rear and my new rear window.
I'm pretty sure its weigh, and my truck weighed 5500lbs last time I checked so that is almost 3 tons. nice plans though
Haha not an English major. OK in that case my truck is gonna way 3-4 tons Haha Ya I can't wait to be able to start the sas just have to save for the parts and a DD lol posted from my texting machine thingy
So after driving almost an hour and a half the salvage yard didn't have what I was looking for posted from my texting machine thingy
^ that sucks dontcha hate when that happens? Ive done that about three times. Sent from my piece of shat.
ok so 1998f150wes got me thinking should i just do my truck as a DD for its life than i can just by toys? what im thinking is 4X4 frame tcase and a 6" lift 37" tires and than just rebuild every thing accordingly or should i stick with my regular plan of doing a sas? either way im getting a jeep first so i will still have someting to drive while i do either of the choices... i think ill get more use out of it with the 4X4 frame... if i do go this way i will eventualy get an older f250 and build it high with huge tires for a mud truck... UGH it sucks having plans but also having no money
OK guys what is the best cheapest way to etch aluminum factory wheels so that I can paint them a strong acid wash? How well dose self etching primer work? I'm ready to get my wheels painted so I can put on my 295's posted from my texting machine thingy
clean the wheels real good, use a light grit sand paper, self etch primer and 2-3 coats of your color of choice
