very nice. in the future i plan on upgrading my lights to that style, as well as getting some of those larger mirrors. im going to leave the grill and bumper alone though. did you have anything done to the engine at all?
Only a HYPERTECH tune and a K&N air filter, it ran hard but the truck needed a regear somthing terrible with the 37" meats. It wouldnt hold high gear to save its life at highway speed. It was a very sweet truck but I decided I just couldn't keep dumpin 150-175 a week into fuel.
i had that issue as well, but as flat as FL is, its not a biggie. wherever i get orders to next will have a large effect on what gets done to me truck.
I wanted to regear it bad and did indepth research into the project but it was going to be very exspensive and I never got motivated enough to do it. If I had of did the gear swap I imagine it would have pic up a little mpg's, it was gettin 9.5-10 mpg runnin round here and Mabe 13 on the road. When I traded for the 150 it literally cut my fuel expence in half!!
wow, maybe my truck is just a freak of nature, but i pulled around 17 HWY on a recent trip to GA. Around town im probably getting closer to 13. My thought was always that if i regeared, i would get a MPG or two around town due to the engine not having to work as hard between stoplights and i would lose one or two on the HWY because it would turn higher RPMs at HWY speed... as my truck sits now, its turning around 1200 RPM at 55, and about 1500-1800 at 75. I also try hard when im on a long trip to keep the RPMs from going above 2K.
yep keepinh it under 2 k is the key .... i run about 18 on the hwy with mine in the city yea its bad haha .... welcome to the site man nice truck
Your gears do sound stock going by ur rpms. As far as your mpg's i dont know, the 5.4 250's got 12-13 at their best in the city in stock form so if urs is knockin that down with the lift and 36's that AWSOME!
