haha i think me and general got dooped and you got the good pair lol. Im just gonna ask for some clear heads and corners for Christmas lol. And Frenquincies those clear fogs really set off the front of your truck in my opinion. Looks great
Been a busy week, but.. My positive battery post is screwed up, and since then, my low beams fire up two different colors. My fog lights are firing up what looks like a purple. They still output a good bit of light (but they need to be adjusted), but I'd like to see how they fire up fully so I can figure out if they'll better match the 5000k or 6000k lows. It's fine, though, because this just gives me more reason to upgrade my wiring under my hood to the 1/0 gauge wire I have sitting here. Edit: I'm also off all weekend. Going to be tweaking the front end heavily, too. Finally going to straighten up my billet and I'm going to try swapping out the mounting pins for the projectors with my stocks because the ones on the projectors are crappy. Hopefully I can get everything mounted and adjusted properly, then I'll be content for a while aside from my windshield and tint. I have a crack going from the side of the windshield on the drivers side to a little past the rear view mirror, and my truck inspection is this month. I'm going to just break down and buy the new windshield since I scratched my tint brow (that's what happens when the 15's are turned up.. when the rear view fell off the tab, it scratched the brow hahah). Going to bring it Thursday get a windshield and tint the brow. After that, I'll bring it, inspect it, then yank off my 50% on my side windows and drop them down to 20% and throw a 50% layer over the whole windshield. Screw it!
So the holidays both hurt the bank and helped it.. and now it's time to get movin' again! In the past few weeks, I did get my windshield changed, and while they were in there, a new 5" brow. (My brow is darker than my "5%" tint on my back windows, and I don't even think the brow is 5%.) After dropping the back end with the shackles, the poor shocks (that have 112k miles on them) started to show how old they really are. I threw some air shocks in today, and even though they have no air (didn't run the lines yet, ran out of daylight), they're riding better than the old shocks. The front shocks need replacing, but I'm waiting because since leveling it off, I want more low! I'll be grabbing some 2" drop coils and 2" drop hangars in the next few days to complete a full 2" drop now that I have better shocks. May be getting my hands on some 20" chrome wheels, but if not I'll be pulling my current tint and throwing a REAL 5% on the back windows and back glass with a 20% on the front windows. Also going to be leveling off my buddy's screw in the next few days! He loved the way the shackles made a huge difference in the look and is following, and I'm sure he'll follow to a full 2" drop eventually.
Been a while since I've posted in my thread, and it's because there hasn't been much work done on ol' blue recently. The only thing that has been changed is the speaker box. I have a near colormatched ported box for the two 15s. The subs and port fires up. There's a good reason I haven't done much work, though. I'd been saving up in case I got fed up with my job before I found something else (which happened, and I quit on Friday the 13th). I had a job lined up, I was just waiting for the call. I'm almost done training at my new job, then I'll actually be able to afford things instead of struggling on chump change. (Woo hoo, oilfield!) Until May, this truck will be driven to different sites for work, so I can't drop it nor throw rims on it; instead, I'll be saving all the cash I make. Then around my birthday (May 22), I'll be buying a 2012 F150 4WD. I'm not sure whether I want the 5.0 or the EcoBoost (I sure love a deep exhaust sound from that V8...) but I have time to decide. After I buy the new truck, I'll end up throwing 20" rims on both trucks (looking to have the same rim on both trucks, running black on the '99 and chrome on the '12), lowering the '99 4"/6" or bagging it, and leveling the '12 to run 33"s. I have plenty of plans, and come May, I hope to have a new toy to start fixin' up.
