exhaust power question

    alright so im lacking power at the line but rolling 10-15mph i can chirp the 35's. i have 1.75 obx longtube headers, high flow cats, 2.5 back from headers, and a cherry bob extreme threw muffler, predator chip, volant powerdayne intake, underdrive pullies, and efans.

    Now my buddy with a flowmast super 40 cat back dumped in stock postion 2.5 from muffler, predator chip, underdrive pullies, efans can spin his tires at the line, he got 35's as well, and hell take me off the line but ill take him at a rolling start

    now from what i understand i may have to much flow at idle and driving speeds that i dont get the scavaging i need, can i put a dual chamber or something thats not as high of flowing muffler to slow down flow

    yeah he probably has 4.56's to help turn those 35's better. if you want a little more torque you can make it true dual and add an H pipe

    yep 3.55 only thing hes got that i dont is a 2100 stall converter and a transmission with 500 miles on it

    also, now that i think about it more, some exhausts are designed to deliver their peak at different times in the RPM range. His may give more at the bottom while yours is designed to give your increases during mid range.

    2.25 piping is better for torque. And put a borla xr1 on there lol! Oh and get php or 5star to tune ur truck or amazon tuning.
    Heck youve still got me beat by a longshot though. I cant even burn mine at all with 4.56s.

    dang that means i got to put more money in it haha, and i had a php tunner but in 8 months never once did i get to use the tunes because they kept having problems with my upload then the new calibrations for edge and than updates and i got sick of it

    I have a feeling its more in the tranny than anything else. when it comes to tenths of a second, launch, and all that stuff, HOW your power gets to the ground is just as important as how you make your power. If his tranny is transferring the power faster with less loss than yours, then he will be able launch better. His advantage is gone when you are doing a rolling start.

    ya my trans is shot so i just got to save up, i was just wondering cause i mean when we get off the lines i feel like im towing a trailer
