So since I have a garage to use this weekend to paint my wheels I thought it might be a good time to tint my tail lights too.. But how should I do it?? Right now im thinking about masking the reverse light section off and doing 2 coats then un masking and doing another 1-2 light coats over the whole light to kinda blend the reverse light in.. Or should I leave the reverse light completly masked?? or tint everything?? If anyone has any examples of flareside or screw lights they did that would be awesome.. And 1 last thing.. Nightshades or Rustoleum tint??
I know your tail lights are completely different from mine but I like the look of the reverse completely masked off how I had mine done.
Yeah im really stuck between the completly masked or just a light coat.. I dont think I wanna tint the whole light
What i did with mine and a friends is masked off the reverse light, done 4 light coats spraying about a foot in front of the light then I done 2 more light coats the same way but this time with the reverse light NOT masked off. It took me 6 light coats of nightshades to get them how I wanted WITHOUT using clear coat.
I only coated my reverse light one time and the rest of the tails 3 times. I was worried about some idiot driving through the ass end of my truck to go any darker. Sent from my iPhone4 using Tapatalk
suprisingly you can go pitch black with niteshades and it still puts out enough light to be noticeable from a long distance because of how transparent it is. i say what these guys are doing should look good, 3 masked 1 coat unmasked.
