I have a 2000 ram with a 318. Needless to say its gutless and uses way too much fuel. It's only purpose for now is a work truck for me putting on around 250km a day. I was thinking about putting a cold air intake and a throttle spacer to give me better mpg and more power. Do you think it's worthwhile to sink the 300 bucks into it? Or go another route? Thanks
i saw the biggest improvement in gas mileage from my programmer. i went from getting around 11mpg to getting 14-15
i don't think you'd see a return on the intake, and certainly not the spacer anytime soon. you'd probably save more by putting the $300 into fuel than those mods in the short run. programmer or nothing at all would be the better investment, i think.
