I am thinking of putting the Nitto Grapplers on my '08 F150 Lariat. Truck is not lifted or leveled and is pure stock. It has the stock 20" rims on it also.

Do I have to level or lift it to get these on it?

What sizes would fit on it? 295/65r20 i think right?

I am pretty naive so bare with me on this. I am purely going for the tough look here and do not do any offroading.

    thanks everyone

First off welcome to FFS.com let's see some pix of the rig!

Second, IMO a 2.5" hellbent steel leveling kit and some 35s make these trucks look Beast with minimal cost.

Third, why the grapplers? I hear they are loud on road, and don't clean well unless spinning at a high speed ( due to tread gaps going from side to side, instead of around).

Check out Federal MTs. They are what I am running, great off road, and I got all 4 ( 35/ 12.5R20) and a alignment for 1,300 out the door at a local shop. Just a suggestion.....

But ya, avoid a 3" level, it will ware out front suspension components due to the Extream angles.

    :welcome:

is the truck 4x4? if so yes you can. If you go any bigger your going to need at least a leveling kit.

    not sure in a 2wd though 33's maybe a little big for a 2wd.

No particular reason for the Grapplers, a buddy has them and I seen a few with them on here. I am open to any suggestions.

My main goal is stricly for the beast look...as I do ZERO off roading or mudding.

Also what is your opinion on putting these beast tires on the stock 20" rims that are on it now???

    thanks

Seeing as 295/65/20 is roughly a 35x11.5x20 tire, yes you need a leveling kit.

You can go with either a 2" or a 2.5". I suggest a 2.5" if you want to completely remove the truck's rake and level it out completely.

You arent going to get the greatest miles out of mud grapplers, maybe 40-45k. However, they do look cool, and if mileage of the tires isnt a big concern to you, i would get them.

Where is best place to get leveling kit? what brand?
How much a leveling kit costs?

I am thinking if I have to get a leveling kit, probably a 2" just cuz I like it sitting a little front heavy. I like that kind of stance on it, just my opinion.

I bought my 2" Autospring on ebay and got 2 1/2" of lift out of it.

I would either go with that brand or a Hellbent Steel. Prices are comparible and both are good kits. You get a little more lift per advertised with the AS vs the HS on most applications.
