To be sure, ive decided to let the shop look into it. I read a few threads in other forums where it was more than just the wire... and like you said, could be the module... better safe than sorry with a long drive in the near future.

Short in the harness or of you have a 6.0 I would pop open the computer and see if it's fried I had one go out on a 95 250 w a 460 and it messed with a bunch of stuff. I would check the computer first then go to tracing a short. I had a alt n batt go out at the same time on my 98 150 and it would die while driving then charge when stopped.

I called ford and they didnt want to hear what i had to say " just bring it in and drop it off and we will put it on the diagnostic computer..." ive had it on a computer and everything comes back fine... so called a smaller shop, explained the problem and what i felt it was... and they listened! They are working it now.

Its the 5.4 weaksauce motor. And i was finally able to recreate it from what i read on the webz... i put a new fuse in, fired her up and then i adjusted the column up and down and it blew. Should be good to go here soon.

didn't they have a recall on that? OR was that for the airbag? I took my truck to Ford to fix it for free, for a similar problem.

So they found the issue exactly where i told them to look... however, during the inspection of the truck, they find that i have almost no oil. Wtf? She runs fine...and ive never ever seen a leak. Now what the hell is this mess?!
