Great fun codes...

    So apperantly this is common. Truck punched me in the face with two devilish codes.. P0171 P0174

    Now I've read a million different reasons for them. Any suggestions?
    Gonna clean the MAF tonight and check the PCV and elbos.

    Yep most time a vac leak of some sort

    Those are EVAP codes for the emissions system.. Check the seal on the fuel cap. If it looks good but you aren't sure just buy a new one and clear the codes.

    i had that code right before my fuel pump went out

    That is fairly common as well. The tank holds a slight pressure inside and if the pump is failing the pressure will as well, shooting the code..

    my truck only had 90k on it when it happened look on ebay for one thats what i did

    I bought a new cap awhile ago. They still came up. I guess I can try the fuel pump. Last thing would be the intake gasket..
