    Im glad your ok man, but I highly doubt thats the issue that caused it. I had the same thing happen on my lifted scab and it was due to the tire shop not torquing my lugs.

    so after thinking some i agree the mods shouldn't have done it. but oh well, now i gotta dakota with 4.7 v8 2wd.

    The dakota does suck horribly, but my neighbor might give me the 5.7 v8 outta his 1500.

    Maybe it was the C clip? Probably nothing to do with how you drive it, chances are it was on its way out. Crazy to hear, glad you are ok! Luckily you were in a big truck rather than an econobox!

    Did the axle shaft go with it too? If so then it was a clip. 8.8 or 9.75??
