    Spent about 2hrs at the shop this morning and tore into it more. Got both valve covers off the intake manifold off and the Hpop and injectors out. Wanted to get the heads off but ran out of time. I'm less worried about then now as I found a rebuilder that takes them no matter what shape or cracked as cores.

    Lots of water in the intake and the intake ports 6 out of 8 cylinders were full of water. Driver side valve cover was covered in gunk but the oil rails injectors and Hpop all still had good oil in them and the Hpop and cover were clean as was the passenger side valve cover.

    Next up is to start selling some parts and get new ones. Current turbo is probably already sold also once I swap the powermax on next Saturday.

    The mod list spring 2012:

    Powermax turbo
    175cc/75% Warren injectors
    Dozer Diesel Race Fuel System
    Oem head gaskets
    Machined heads
    Arp studs
    4" flow pro turbo back
    Replace worn seals etc while cab is up
    Php ficm tune
    Live tune from Matt at gearhead automotive.
    order being placed today for the injectors and regulated return fuel system

    the system includes the regulated return with braided lines, aeromotive regulator, hard feed and return lines and 90deg fittings to replace the banjo bolts. then it also deletes the fuel bowl on top of the motor. Its technically 1/2 of the complete race fuel setup since im not doing the fuel sump, upgraded areomotive a1000 pump and aftermarket water sep and fuel filter just yet.

    getting a wicked deal though and im ready to go once i get the heads machined

    So did something go bad with your 6.0 or did you just decide to drop in this motor?

    i bought a motor that took a dump and parted it out plus took parts i needed/wanted off it to have built prior to pulling the cab.

    Cab came off last thursday to rebuild the top end of my motor. nothing went bad but figured add power and reliability at the same time and save money.
