Pity7700 Build thread, why not? pic heavy!

working on the fan write up as we speak dudes! found a picture in my phone of me climbing the dirt pile one night at work. wish they would have gotten the whole truck in the pic though lol.



also found a couple pics of my truck next to a guys truck i work with. its a 97 (i think) Chevy. its got a total of 9" of lift sitting on 37s, its like an inch higher than mine lol.

Hey dudes. i was going to try and tackle the big 3 today but i could use some info on how much wire i need and where all the body grounds are that i need to upgrade. i can see the engine block ground above the firewall but i cant see where the bolt is on the engine itself for the cable. also where does the battery ground to the frame? i found a HOW-TO for the 11 gen trucks and the cables are different i think. also do i need to upgrade the frame ground cable on the passenger side frame as well?

 

Jarrett did his if want to ask him. I think he grounded the frame on the top of the strut tower near the battery.

 

^that was tyler. I went from the pos on the battery to the post on the top of the altinator, then neg to the post of the firewall then to the bottom bolt of the alt ( its bolted to the block so its good, i didnt do anything from the block to chasis... I ran out of wire :/ I used all 8 ga wire. And i couldnt tell you how much wire to use haha


And boom goes the dynamite.

 

alright thanks. im going with 0 gauge for everything. i just need an idea of how much wire lol. i think i will do the body ground on the passenger frame as well. it couldnt hurt. i block is grounded to the firewall but i couldnt see the bolt on the top of the block. guess ill have to get a flash light and stick my head back there to find it.
