Lol! Funny you mentioned that, I kinda thought about it. I'm gonna keep the 2.8 for a while, just to a little headwork, cam, and exhaust. Then I might do a ls1 or lq9 swap with a t56. I can hear bama coming already telling me to put a Ford engine in there!

Yeah, there's a Guy in my city with an orange one, never thought I'd have one. I never realized how cheap they actually are.

I'm not a crazy GM fan, but damn those LS engines are sweet. Something else kinda funny, my friend just bought a 350z, the next day I found this car. I think it might be a message.

yeah man, i too have thought about picking one up, but then again, a million car ideas run through my head daily. And that one in the video is the fastest 4.8 with stock bottom end. A good 5.3 from a pull a part or junkyard, some milled heads,ls2 timing set, texasspeed MS3 cam, good springs, carb or ls6 intake, longtubes, and that car would be a lil beast. Of course an lq9 with that stuff would be more of a beast!

Lol I think we have similar thought processes! I change my mind on what car I want the most everyday. I'm sticking to this one though. I saw that build with the 4.8, rust spot in #8 cylinder and still made 1200+ HP.

must have same thought process. One day im thinkin mustang with ls motor, next day, firebird or camaro, next day, datsun, next day nissan 300zx and so on lol. A boy around my area has a 4.8 in a firebird and let me tell ya, that thing will roll! I think If I had to do an ls build for the motor to last the longest, those 4.8s take some abuse!

Yeah lol exactly. I wanted a 300zx for the longest time, just couldn't find a decent one in my price range. I think I'd go for the 5.3 though. I read they're have the same cylinder wall thickness as the 4.8, just more displacement. My dad's work van has the 6.0 in it, and even though its loaded down and has the aerodynamics of a brick, it moves pretty good. Still gets 11 MPG too. Wow, I'm really starting to sound like a GM fan.

Yup lol, my truck's 4l60e scares the **** outta me sometimes. Glad I'm finally getting a better car. I found a great thread/video from a guy that did the LS1 swap, and he said he dropped around 5.7 grand into it. He gave a complete parts list of everything down to the bolts that he bought, where he bought them, and how much.

I can't find any info on the 4 speed it has though, does anyone know if it has OD? The guy told me he got low-mid 20's with it, so I'd have to assume it is..
