    I appreciate all of these replies...it's good to know the 5.4 problems were corrected because even though I'm sure the newer 4.6 were greatly improved I just know that I would feel a lot more pleased with a 5.4

    I have a 2001 4.6 Triton with 435,000 KM's on it. It's runs like new.
    I also have a 2007 5.4 with 322,000 on it. Runs like new as well.
