help death wobble

    ok so in my truck i have been getting the dreaded death wobble.. its not constant it only after certain bumps and only last till i slow down more. not all bumps just some. i have no idea were to start looking to fix this problem any help would be appreciated

    Tie-Rod ends. the wobble happens because the tie rod looses its stiffness, allowing any/almost all bumps to flirt w/ the steering. it should be most noticeable when moving through a turn, such as a road/hwy curve, and hitting a bump, the entire truck would feel like it just "juked" the road.

    Its happened more going straight but has a few times turning. So what do I need to do just tighten the tie rods

    probably need to replace them

    need to replace tie rods

    Idler arm will also cause this if your tie rods are good. Also good shocks will help reduce the wobble.

    ^^^ I forgot about the idler arm on the 97-03's. and yea, you can adjust the tie rod ends unless they have a grease valve (most dont) in which case you'll need to just replace.

    They are brand new tierods probobly have 3 k or so miles we put them on when we did the lift same with shocks.. what do I need to do to the idler arm
