2005 f150 coolant

    My husband as a 2005
    f150 4x4, can anyone help me his truck temp is always showing hot. The truck runs fine but I don't know why or what could be the trouble, I am needing some advise on what could be the cause. Any help would be great.:crazy:

    Could be a thermostat, clogged radiator, clogged water passage in the engine, leaking head gasket, etc.

    There are numerous reasons why it could be getting hot. Temps like we've been having and running the air conditioner is extremely hard on the cooling system in itself.

    i would reccomend testing the coolant first....your local auto parts house can help ya there

    Like everyone has mentioned, I'd start with the thermostat first.
