Well im wanting to buy some 97-03 f150 stock fender flares. But i think that they were mounted by being screwed on from the inside of the fender? I've seen pictures of trucks that have taken them off and there are a bunch of holes on the fender. Does any body know of any that wouldnt require drilling? I dont mind drilling on the bottom of the fender, but i dont want to drill on the exterior sides.
The holes on the sides are what help hold them on iirc. I'm not sure if aftermarket ones that look oem do the same or not. But if you were to shave the clips off the flares, you would have to find an alternate way to be sure they are attached.
As far as I know they are just tabs, not screws. If you shaved the tabs off, you could just use some 3m to mount them
I wouldnt chance it. Their should be a few bolts holding them on, but they wont assist the rest of it very much.
