Was wondering if anyone had a link or a pic of where the heater control valve is on a 1998 navigator? I have heat in the rear but not front and the heater core actuator and blend door have all been changed. Was told that heater core may not be getting coolant. Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk 2
More than likely it will be on the passenger side of the engine. Follow the heater hoses from the fire wall to the engine and the control valve will be in line with one of the hoses. Rockauto shows it to be all black composite plastic and only in line with one of the hoses. Put a short length of vacuum line or aquarium air tubing on it and use a vacuum pump or just suck on it and see it the valve actuates. If it does move the heater control valve is not the problem. It will look similar to this pic but all black composite plastic.
Changed the blend door but still no heat stays warm but doesn't get real hot and now the rear stays cold...any help would be greatly appreciated Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk 2
its prolly going to need a heater core my 250 done that to me and sounds about like what yours is doing .....
Does 98 navigator have 2 blend doors...AutoZone had told me the second one is behind glove compartment. If so would the whole dash have to be taken off? Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk 2
