went into autozone today and plugged up to the computer. had a misfire in cyl 3 so i bought a coil. well i just replaced it and it wont idle at all. i can keep it goin if i give it gas but once i let off it dies. i got it in and seated and plugged back up right and i double checked all my connections and everything. someone help me out please
idle control valve. starts just fine but doesnt idle, can rev it up and revs up good and sounds solid...yup had to replace that a couple years ago. dont remember the cost, but fairly non-expensive.
found it. the vacuum line that runs from the EGR valve to the back of the throttle body dry rotted right next to the throttle. pulled it out, afro engineered a new fitting with the old piece, a rubber hose, a piece off a john deere sprayer, some epoxy and some black tape and shes running like a top again i got real good at pulling coils now. i pulled that one out 4 times
