well wtf is the difference. i guess no one ever took the time to look at the differences. i do know for a fact that ive got a bigger rear and the 4r100 trans and a few other odds and ends. wish i could figure out this leaf spring difference...if there is one. last option is that the springs have a different angle to em.
Shackle size? Individual leaf thickness? Tension of the leaf pack? Sent from my Milestone X using Tapatalk 2
alright bottom leaf is 1/2" thick top leaf is about 7/16" thick. front shackle is 10" rear hanger is 8". there is a specific part # for the front shackle for the 7700. how could i check the tension?
There probably isn't a way for your average person to check the tension. It's something that would be decided by a sharper bend or possibly thicker leafs. I think. I'm really not a spring expert when I say tension I mean stiffness of the springs. There might be a better word for it. But if the springs are simply stiffer on the 7700 then it may explain why it sits higher. Sent from my Milestone X using Tapatalk 2
Total length, as in length of the spring measured along its curve? I'd think that would kinda be dependent upon how curved they were, unless one of the hangers is further back or further forward than a typical 150, but I kinda doubt that's the case. Sent from my Milestone X using Tapatalk 2
