I installed Lamin-X on my fog lights recently. I'll be installing it on my headlights when I get around to upgrading to aftermarket assemblies with HID projectors. The cost was around $100. I installed them on new OEM foglight assemblies. My originals were leaking and one of them was broken so I was able to get them for a decent price. So best to protect them while they're still new. The only thing I was disappointed in was that they do not completely cover 100% of the lens. Installation was easy and took about 5 minutes each. So far I'm satisfied with the results, but only time will tell how well these films protect the foglights.
It is a protective film to prevent damage to anything you adhere it to. Lamin-X has film clear or translucent films for headlights or even body panels. Unlike cheap stuff you find offshore, this stuff will not turn yellow or chaulky with UV rays. You can get it in different thicknesses depending on your application. Given I drive a lot on unpaven roads it was a clear choice for me to protect my new foglights with a protective film.
never knew they made something like that. kinda cool. might think of looking this stuff up for aux. lights.
