The shuddering while passing could be the spark plugs, especially if they're still stock at 155k. The jolting is defintly the torque converter. Take it to a dealer, drive it with them and show them exactly what's happening. It should start around 40mph after it's shifted into o/d and you're trying to speed up a little or go up a hill. Then get back to us and tell me how much it'll be to fix it mine is doing the same thing.
going to have it all checked here tomorrow cause i got up under the truck and noticed that my oil pan is leaking now...
Let's tackle one issue at a time. I can tell you that from my knowledge there have been a number of 5.4 owners who had oil pan leaks. I know there was a write up on another forum where removal of the crossmember was involved. Remember that when you're checking your fluid it has to hot, which means driving for quite some time. And be sure to check it on a level surface.
yeah i know.. im taking it to a shop to have them replace the gasket if it is what is bad. i work at a car parts store so i can get the parts cheap. i really dont have the time to do it myself.
Well I changed the plugs the other day and it did seam like they were the orginal ones..all my problems have disappeared atleast for now so I'm hoping thats all it was
