Got my truck scanned yesterday and its saying bad o2 sensor bank1. Will a bad sensor cause you to have a rough idle and some hesitation during acceleration in the 1 and 2 thousand rpm range. Plus where are they located and how many are on exhaust system and location. 05 expedition.
yes, a bad o2 will give you problems as it is reading exhaust fumes wrong and compensating incorrectly due to those misreadings. I'm not 100% sure on the expy's but if they are like the trucks, there should be a Upstream and Downstream o2 sensor on each side. Upstream is typically right before the catalytic converter, and the downstream is either right in the middle of the cat, or just after. they should be fairly easy to get to. I was able to remove all 4 of mine w/out removing anything else to the truck.
Yes it will. The truck thinks there is a massive evap system leak and it will run rough. Sensor is like $80 and fairly easy to switch out. Sent from my iSmarty 4
fix that shiz up man! O2 sensors are an important part to engine operation. like vano said. it tells the computer information about the exhaust.
i wouldnt think so unless you want to spend the money to do it. you should be ok with just swapping one out.
Oem for sure. If it's not hard/expensive I would swap all of them. Though I think you can delete the rear two fairly easily. The new trucks only run two... sent from my igloo
more than likely it is your downstream that are out. I would just swap out both of them, and I would use OEM parts. Rockauto.com is gonna be your best bet. I did all mine for under $60 I think and just called it aday since my truck had over 100k on it at the time.
