well i would rather not spend another $150 on the part and then spend all that time again fixing this one lol its just a couple small areas. i figured i would cut the bad part out which isnt much, maybe get some fiberglass cloth and path it up. maybe it will last a little while till i have the time to fix it properly. ill spray it down with some purple power deruster and go crazy with some por-15 on the inside of it.

jus got my $27 14ounce can of por 15 today :Grenade: most expensive can of paint ive ever bought.

    whats going on guys?

got a POR-15 from FEDEX the other day.

sprayed the best i could inside the holes on the back of the rocker to coat the inside, might do another coat. i like how this tuff applies, much easier than bedliner or undercoating. it doent make a big ass mess:jester: i went a head and washed the body of the cab with some soap and water and sprayed the **** out of it with the deruster as well and put a nice coat of the POR-15 under there as well, also put a couple more coats of bedliner on the rocker so thats all set.

took a look at the other side a little closer. the rust hole is very small and the rust doesnt go very far on the inside of the rocker. i looked through them stupid holes on the back side of it and saw it was just a small portion. wouldnt believe the amount of mud and **** that was caked inside there...wonder how it rusted it. when they put the steps on they take out the rubber grommet that is supposed to go over that hole, without it there it gets full of ****. i gotta spray it out and cut the little piece out and im just going to put some filler on it for now. its not a big hole at all. moght just weld a small piece of metal on. thats an option. once thats done i just have to bedline the underside of it and ill POR-15 the backside where the holes are, as well as inside and the underside of the cab. wish i knew someplace that sells this POR-15 round me.

    sorry, no pics yet!

well since i forgot to put the latch on for the rear door when i fixed the rocker i had to weld it on but had no welder lol.

of course since i got a welder for christmas i just could not wait to get that thing on there!

its not the best lol but its on there. i was just happy i didnt burn through the metal. just gotta clean it up with a grinder and touch the paint up.
