The tow hooks are cast good look getting those to stay when you pull with them, roll some rebar an use that for hooks welded up

Run some metal between where the bull bar mounts to the frame an get longer bolts an bolt the new cross member in so it stretches between the the frame then either bolt or weld some tow hooks onto the crossmember you made an cut the space out between two diamond shapes in the corners an have the hooks protrude from there

    ******* genius!

just to make sure im pickin up what youre putting down, youre saying get some steel tubing and weld it right behind the bullbar skidplate horizontally on the frame and weld the tow hooks to that?

Exactly, then trim the skid plate for the hooks to come through an it should look very clean an be strong. For hooks though I'd just find some 1/2 steel an have a shop or you heat it up an bend it with like a 5" diameter hoop with like 6" long tines. It'll be much stronger an easier to weld to the crossmember you build

ill see what i can find. im having a hell of a time finding some 2 1/2" x 4' long square steel tubing to fix my bed supports...the only thing anyone carries around here is 1 1/2" square tubing. i doubt ill be able to find anything to make hooks out of. those would look sweet though instead of the factory hooks. might just get some D-rings and fab something up.
